Metharc's novel process enables the rapid and cost-efficient scale-up of low-carbon hydrogen production from abundant natural gas and biogas resources using a downhole tool that converts methane to clean hydrogen with simultaneous in-situ capture of carbon.
Metharc helps Natural Gas, Geothermal and Biogas companies become hydrogen and carbon capture leaders, taking advantage of existing licenses with fewer permitting barriers, less complex value chains and proven logistics.

Green Energy Export Day 2025

Metharc attended the Green Energy Export Day 2025, held in Copenhagen on 27th Aug. A huge thank you to Danish Industry for hosting this inspiring day, filled with innovators, corporations (from SMEs to large), and impactful conversations. This year was well attended, with workshops on Wind Energy, District Heating, Energy Efficiency and GreenHydrogen, with many thoughtful presentations and interesting ideas.

There was expressed a strong desire for energy independence of many countries, but key messages from the day were that sector coupling within the energy industry was a necessity, together with the reduction in greenhouse gas transportation to reduce climate costs and improve energy efficiencies. At Metharc that is where we are focused.

Metharc engaged in discussions about our climate-positive wellbore reformation process, sharing our vision for deploying this technology in geothermal-biogas coupled wells, driving a faster path to net zero by producing green hydrogen from biogas while capturing all the associated carbon underground, with zero CO2 reaching the surface. Negative emissions leads to carbon trading, another revenue source.

Ready to decarbonize your energy chain? Let’s connect to explore how Metharc can support your net zero goals!

We look forward to the Green Energy Export Day 2026.
